What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that involves using a fine blade to deposit pigment into the skin. The procedure is often used to improve the appearance of sparse or asymmetrical eyebrows by creating the illusion of fuller, thicker brows.

How is it Done?

First, one of our microblading artists will consult with you to assess your specific needs and goals. This is where we make sure you are a good candidate for the procedure. Using the golden ratio, we create the perfect eyebrow shape for your face. This step is crucial to finding the most natural-looking shape you will love at the end of the procedure. Numbing cream is applied at this time before the procedure begins.

Next, we use a sterile microblading pen to draw precise strokes on your skin. This pen has micro-needles attached at the end, which gives the hairlike strokes. Once the first strokes are drawn, numbing cream is reapplied to ensure your comfort during the remainder microblading process. Most clients agree that this is a relatively pain-free procedure and only need the two applications of numbing cream throughout the entire process.

Then, using the microblading pen, we begin making micro-incisions on your skin, following the drawn guidelines. These incisions will be filled with pigment. The pigment color is chosen based on your hair and skin tone. The wrong color can result in an unnatural-looking brow, so the goal is to select a shade that closely resembles your natural hair color to give results that look as natural as possible.

Once the pigment has been on the skin for the allotted time, we gently clean the brow area. Ensuring all remaining pigment is removed. The final results are natural-looking eyebrows that will balance out your face.

Shaping the Eyebrows

    1. The Outside aligns from the bottom of the nose to the outer corner of the eye.
    2. The arch peaks outside the iris and lies on the brow bone.
    3. The inner side of the brow should align with the bridge of the nose.
    4. Draw a line from the inner to the outer.

Attention Please
We strongly advise prospective new clients to book their Microblading or Microshading appointments at least 3-4 months before vacations, weddings, and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing your Initial Microblading Appointment and a Retouch Appointment 6-8 Weeks before your event.

Benefits of Microblading

Eyebrow microblading is a relatively new beauty treatment that is becoming increasingly popular. Unlike traditional tattooing, microblading is a relatively gentle procedure that causes minimal discomfort. It can be performed in a short amount of time and requires little down time.

  • No more time spent filling in brows each morning
  • More symmetrical and well-defined brows
  • Reduced need for expensive brow pencils and gels
  • A more youthful appearance
  • Long lasting effects that require only yearly touch ups
  • After healing results are waterproof

Microblading Precare & Aftercare

Fifty percent of the outcome of your brows is dependent upon proper aftercare. In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their best) these Pre & Post Care Instructions found below are very IMPORTANT.

PLEASE NOTE: Immediately following your procedure, the tattooed area will appear to be anywhere from 20-40% darker and bolder in color and 15% thicker. This can last up to 10 days after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place (This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures). The treated area may feel sunburned afterward, but minimal discomfort should be. During the initial healing period, the skin should be minimal scabbing or flaking. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.

The healing process takes about 6-8 weeks when the true color is evident. During this process, it will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only after 6-8 weeks that your retouch/adjustment can be made.
